| Before and After. The existing Mansard-roofed home is altered in a manner that preserves the original structure and openings as possible, while creating a dramatic stylistic change and adding area. Expansion at the ground level beyond the original footprint is limited to only 340 new square feet. The interior of the first floor and the entire second floor were redesigned to increase spaciousness and number of rooms. A walk-up attic allows for future expansion as well as generous storage space.
